Anchor-Harper Publications
Inc. was founded in 1994 by Alex Harper, President, former President of
The Montreal Board of Trade, and Olaf Silva, of Anchor Publications Inc.
Both have had extensive experience in producing a wide variety of
publications, either together or through other vehicles, over a period
spanning more than twenty years. Olaf is still associated with the firm
in a technical/advisory/production capacity.
Anchor-Harper’s driving force is its ability to respond to the special
publishing needs of a variety of clients. Clients have been drawn from
Chambers of Commerce, Boards of Trade, Port and Airport Authorities and
Corporations. Anchor-Harper is a hands-on organization involved at all
levels of production, including:
- Organizing texts, data and
visuals tailored for a specific target audience and in line with the
desires and objectives of the client.
- Accessing people with many
talents who join projects at different times in the process, such as
graphic designers and artists, typesetters with special skills,
layout specialists, writers in both English and French,
photographers and translators.
- Interfacing with a wide
range of software for text conversion into typesetting.
- An ability to set and meet
deadlines, adjusting to the specific needs of each client.
- Conception, design and
layout of pages supplied to printers as camera-ready art, on
disquette or CD, or through electronic communications means, to take
advantage of the latest printing technologies.
